Monolithic tanks with secondary cast cover plates

The innovation is regarding wet or dry cast concrete tanks whose primary casting is without a cover plate. The new production method involves the upside down insertion of the tank into a wet cast cover plate mould which when filled provides an integral cover. This negates a separate lid and it’s extensive and manually mortaring thus improving the quality and appearance of the whole tank. The keyed and taper locked connection of the tank pot to the cover plate is sealed, static and load bearing.
